Wills - Inheritance Tax - Succession Rights - Enduring Powers of Attorney
We can help and advise clients in the following areas of Wills and Probate;
Will Drafting A Will is a very simple document which sets our your instructions as to how you wish your assets
to be distributed when you die. We can guide you through this process.
Tax Considerations
We can advise on Inheritance Tax, when it might arise, and the best manner in which to
minimise your estate’s exposure to inheritance tax.
Administering the Deceased’s Estate
We advise and assist with the duties and functions of an Executor / Administrator. An Executor is
the person appointed in the Will to administer the Deceased’s estate. An Administrator is the
person entitled to administer the deceased’s estate where there is no Will. We arrange for the
collection of all assets in the estate, and, having discharged any taxes due, we distribute the
estate to the Beneficiaries. If there is property in the estate we prepare the necessary deeds and
documents to have the title registered in the name of the Beneficiaries.
Advice on Succession Rights
We advise on who is entitled to inherit an estate when there is no Will. We can also advise
disappointed family members on their rights to make a challenge to a Will, where they feel they
have not been properly provided for in the Will.
Enduring Powers of Attorney
An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document which sets out instructions as to how a person
wishes assets to be dealt with and by whom if they become of unsound mind (e.g. if you wish for
your property to be sold to pay medical or nursing home expenses, etc)
